In Memory

Thomas Madden

Thomas Madden

Tommy passed away after a lengthy illness of psoriatic arthritis on Sepember. 21, 2014, in Sutter County.

He was divorced and leaves behind a sister, Jan Madden-Perry (Ken), and niece Jill (Stephen), grandnieces Paige and Quinn; brother, Robert Madden; and mother, Bonnie Madden; a daughter, Melissa Haber from Maryland and her son, Hayden, age 9, and her daughter, Avery, age 2.

Tom's father, Ross Madden, preceeded him in death in 2010.

(This is the information provided by his loving sister Jan, (also YCHS class of 1971) regarding these facts of Tom's death. Tom didn't want a funeral or an obituary listed in the pape, He wanted to leave quietly, just as he came.)

Below is a poem Jan wrote for Tom:

My Brother, Tom

You're still here in my heart and mind,
still making me laugh because your stories live on.
I hold you in a thought and I can feel you.
I feel you and this gives me strength and courage.
The tears I have cried for you could flood the earth
and I know you have wiped each one away.
For you my Brother, I promise you this,
I will go on with my life and make you proud.

I will always hold you in my heart.
I promise you I will be missing you every day until the end of time,
I need to love and miss you, but I also need to live because through me you will live,
You will still laugh and love,
You will forever be in our lives,
You will forever be my brother,
A son,
An uncle,
And friend.
I am going to miss your shining face,
I think of you and wonder WHY?
Now I sit here wondering what to do,
because there's no one to replace you.
When you think of me while you're up in heaven,
Think of how much you meant to me.
It's sad that you left without saying goodbye,
But just remember we all love you as you began to fly.

You were my brother and my best friend.
I will always love you no matter how long it’s been,
since your life came to an end.

I love you Tom and always will.  I miss you terribly.

Love, Your Sister, Jan
